Would it be rude to ask guests to move to the other side of the lobby to talk and carry on? - lobby chairs
I work in a hotel. We have a large open room down the hall outside the table with sofas and chairs, but people always ask, what laughing across the table and talk as loud as they can so it is very difficult to hear over the phone.
Today there is a group of 10-15 stand in front of the table talk as much and practice, as they not seen for years. The phone rang and someone asked me to call 911th He could hear only 911, as they were carried out as hard (and a colleague with them on trips), and the woman as hung. I called the back room and got no answer, so I called 911 and I must say that I'm not sure what happened, because I could not hear. During a phone call should have listened to 911, because he had tried to talk to ask me what happens! There was someone who needed an ambulance.
Would it be rude to put a call on hold and ask people to move to another area of the lobby because I do not hear wITH carry them? It is not much, but when that happens, an event like today, it is very important that we do not lose any details.
Thanks
